Horn Counseling is an approved Practicum & Intern supervision site in the Nashville Area for both Lipscomb University and Trevecca University.
Pre-Licensed Clinical Supervision
Horn Counseling offers supervision for pre-licensed supervision for both LPC-MHSP and LMFT. We offer both individual and group supervision as a primary supervisor or as supplemental supervision for those pursuing licesnusre in Tennesee.
Approved Clinical Supervisors
Reid Horn, LPC-MHSP
Reid brings over a decade of hands-on experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor to his role as a clinical supervisor. After completing his CACREP-accredited master’s program in counseling psychology at Evangel University in 2014, Reid has worked in a variety of settings—from private practice to community mental health, even providing therapy in courtrooms, prisons, and schools.
His time with Missouri’s Greene County Drug Court, DWI Court, and Veterans Court gave him unique insight into helping people in high-stakes, life-changing situations. As an Approved Clinical Supervisor for LPC-MHSPs in Tennessee, Reid is passionate about equipping new therapists with the tools they need to thrive in their careers.
Reid is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), bringing a rich blend of expertise to his supervision. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, Reid is here to guide you with practical insights, real-world experience, and a commitment to your growth as a clinician.
Lauren Johnson-Horn, LMFT
Lauren has spent over five years building a thriving career as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and she’s passionate about helping the next generation of therapists do the same. After earning her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca University’s CACREP-accredited program in 2017, she’s been dedicated to growing both personally and professionally.
Now, as a clinical supervisor for LMFTs in Tennessee, Lauren is continuing her own growth under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Anderson, LMFT. Her training includes specialized approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic therapy, which she uses to guide clients toward real healing and transformation.
